It’s February, it’s raining…so how are those new year’s resolutions going?

Are you still donning that lycra, standing like a tree, bending like a downward dog, hurtling down a mountain or tackling those team mates? (Me neither.)

It’s ok if the resolutions haven’t quite gone to plan. Finding the time to work out, learn a new exercise regime or make healthy meals can be challenging (I love an understatement).

But, (fortunately for us) life doesn’t happen all at once – it’s a collection of moments, of right nows, of beginnings and afters. And we don’t have to just spectate and accept the now. We can choose to start again. And again. We are constantly invited to join in, to embrace life and to challenge ourselves.

So, let’s not give up, let’s start again. And keep starting again. Resolutions aren’t just for 1 January, they’re for ever, so let’s keep making them. Set ourselves targets to be our best self, whilst also being kind to ourselves.

We lose an estimated one to two litres per hour of fluid when we exercise. It’s important to keep dehydration at bay by topping up those liquid levels.

Water versus Sports Drinks? Which is Better?

Some people are convinced that sports drinks aid their performance and help recovery too. As sweating affects potassium, magnesium and sodium levels in the body, slurping a sugary sports drink during or after exercise seems a great idea to replenish those electrolytes.

There is, however, little scientific evidence to suggest that they improve performance or enhance your training or recovery.

Fuelling your body with energy, by way of sugar, provides a terrible crash when your cells run out of it (quickly) again, which can leave you with feelings of fatigue and irritability, making it easy to give up.

It is vital for your muscles and your energy levels to drink water before, during and after exercise.

Another simple way to enhance your workouts is with the help of oxygen. The more effectively and quickly oxygen can hit the bloodstream during exercise, the better the body performs.

Here at ClearO2 we have the perfect solution. We have teamed up with the revolutionary EI8HT, backed by research at Oxford University. These incredible vegan-friendly drinks significantly improve oxygen transportation around the body (using unique, patented encapsulation technology). As they are enhanced with iron, vitamin B3 and, crucially, vitamin B12, they help you to feel better, supporting your immune system and enabling you to get more out of your oxygen consumption, making them an ideal accompaniment to ClearO2’s supplemental oxygen.

The effect? Improved athletic performance.

Clever, right? So, if you’re looking for one easy way to fulfil that resolution and make the most of your workouts, just mix a deliciously flavoured sachet of EI8HT with water, shake for 30 seconds to activate the micro-bubbles, and drink. While you work out, the mighty, motivational molecules travel into your bloodstream, carrying the energy-enhancing oxygen with them to power you through.

EI8HT oxygen drinks come in two sizes with one available for Energy, one for Recovery and one for Skin. Look out for the new range for sports, coming soon, with EI8HT patented technology!
